hhhtwi: download Twitter videos the boring way
There are a lot of Twitter video downloader sites out there. Some are slow, some hide the download behind three pages of ads, and some quietly re-compress your video. We built hhhtwi because we wanted the boring version: paste the link, see every quality with its file size, tap once, done.
hhhtwi is a free online Twitter video downloader (it works for x.com links too — see the X video downloader). It saves any public tweet's video in the original quality as a normal MP4 file. It works in the browser on iPhone, Android, PC and Mac — there is nothing to install and no account to create.

Why do you need a Twitter video downloader?
Twitter (X) has no save button for other people's videos — the app only lets you bookmark or retweet. A downloader like hhhtwi fills that gap and is useful in everyday situations:

How to download Twitter videos on iPhone (iOS)
iPhones are the tricky case for every downloader, because Safari doesn't save videos to the gallery directly. It still takes under a minute:
- In the Twitter (X) app, open the tweet and tap Share → Copy Link.
- Open hhhtwi.com in Safari and tap Paste — the tweet is detected automatically.

How to download Twitter videos on PC or Mac
On a computer you don't even need the app. Open the tweet on x.com or twitter.com, copy the URL from the address bar (it looks like x.com/username/status/1234567890), paste it into the box at the top of this page and press Enter. Pick a quality and the MP4 goes to your Downloads folder. This works the same on Windows, macOS and Linux, in Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari — no extension or software needed.

Where are the videos saved after downloading?
In your browser's default download location. On Android and PC that's the Downloads folder. On iPhone, Safari saves to the Files app — from there you can move the video to Photos.
Why is the download not working for my tweet?
Nine times out of ten the tweet was deleted, the account is protected (private), or the video is age-restricted — those can't be fetched by any downloader. Copy the link again from the Share button and retry. If it still fails, wait a minute and try once more.
Can I download videos from protected accounts?
No. Only public tweets can be downloaded. Videos from protected accounts and age-restricted videos are not accessible to any downloader.
Do I need to register or log in?
No. hhhtwi never asks for an account, and you should never enter your Twitter password on any downloader site.
Does it work with x.com links?
Yes. twitter.com links, x.com links and t.co short links all work — Twitter's rename changed nothing here. There's also a dedicated X video downloader page, same tool either way.
Is there a limit on how many videos I can save?
No limit. Download as many Twitter videos as you need, all free.
Do you keep a copy of the videos I download?
No. The file goes straight from Twitter's servers to your device and is never saved on our side. We also don't keep a list of the links you paste.
