Credit where it's due
twittervideodownloader.com has been downloading tweets since before X was a letter anyone cared about. It's simple, it's known, and for a plain English-language video download it does the job. If that's all you need, it's a fine tool.
hhhtwi was built for the gaps around that job: knowing the file size before you download, getting photos and GIFs from the same box, and using the tool in your own language — including languages most downloaders skip entirely.
The practical differences
File sizes up front — every resolution shows its exact megabytes before you commit, which matters on mobile data. 14 languages — English, Spanish, Portuguese, Indonesian, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, Thai, Turkish, Vietnamese, French, German, Russian and Chinese, each properly written, not machine-pasted. Photos and GIFs — dedicated photo and GIF pages, full resolution, one tap. Instant streaming — the download starts the moment you tap, no second page.
Same link, thirty seconds, your call
Comparisons on a comparison page only go so far — the box at the top of this page is the real test. Paste the tweet you were about to download, look at the result card, and decide which experience you'd rather repeat a hundred times. Whichever you pick, at least now it's an informed pick.
Frequently asked questions
What does hhhtwi do that twittervideodownloader.com doesn't?
Three practical things: it shows the exact file size of every quality before you download, it works in 14 languages including Japanese, Korean, Arabic and Thai, and it handles photos and GIFs on dedicated pages — not just videos.
Is twittervideodownloader.com legit?
Yes — it's one of the oldest Twitter downloaders on the web and does its core job fine. This page exists for the people who want the same job with more information on screen and fewer clicks around it.
Why does twittervideodownloader.com fail on some tweets?
The same reasons every downloader fails: deleted tweets, protected accounts, age-restricted videos. Paste the same link here to double-check — if it fails everywhere, the tweet itself is locked.
Does hhhtwi work with x.com links?
Yes, everywhere on the site — there's also a dedicated X video downloader page. Old twitter.com links work the same.
Can I download images with hhhtwi?
Yes — the photo downloader saves every image of a tweet in original full resolution. That's something twittervideodownloader.com doesn't offer.
Do I need an account for either site?
No. Both are no-signup tools — and no downloader ever needs your Twitter password.
Is hhhtwi free?
Yes, completely — every quality, every tool, no limits.
